Sona Moghaddam will vote for the best female director of MIFF
Sona Moghaddam is a filmmaker and a women's rights activist. Her 2016 feature documentary premiered at the 57th Krakow Film Festival and later won women's voices now award in America for the goal of advocating women's rights through socially impactful films. She also holds a master of directing in cinema and is the president of Silk Road films, a distribution company. Sona Moghaddam has been working as a programmer and a jury member of Montreal Independent Film Festival for the past 2 years and she will be curating the program for the best female directing category of the seasonal festival. She is also the artistic director of Toronto Women Film Festival.
